What are the network policies?
- Equipment must comply with network standards and run only approved protocols.
- Communications with any node must match their advertised policy.
- No network abuse, hacking, scanning, flooding etc.
- You must comply with local laws and regulations.
- Network addresses and contact points must be actively maintained.
- This is a membership based network, you may join for free, but you can also have your membership revoked should you abuse the network.
By who's authority?
- The existing Internet registries are unable to meet these requirements.
- By using wiana approved protocols, you will be using cryptographically signed protocols, the keys for which must be signed by a wiana key.
- The wiana network does not map directly into Internet address space, external connections are translated and will perhaps eventually slot into an ipv6 subnet.
- Wiana has no association with other Internet registries or government or trade organisations. We are providing an address management system to meet the requirements of the currently emerging community networks.
